Last week we camped at San Elijo State Beach in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California. High on the bluff was our site overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Usually, in spring we have decent weather at the beach and our first day there was no exception. As we prepped dinner the sky treated us to a visual feast.
I probably shot close to fifty photos from different angles and with altered settings. Our planet appears to rotate quicker at this time of day when the focal point disappears from sight. I didn’t want to miss a thing.
And finally, after what seemed to be a few short minutes, we relished in the amazing colors that nightfall brings.
At dusk the sound of the waves grew and embraced us as we settled around our glowing campfire.
One of the greatest joys in life is watching a sunset over the Pacific.
Have you camped along the coast? Where is your favorite spot?
