Last weekend I went to a hiking meetup or in this case #socalhikerstweetup at Schabarum Regional Park and Powder Canyon.
We met.
We hiked.
We talked.
We took photos.
We ate BBQ.
And then we talked some more.
It was fun and I must tell you that I was so grossly involved in learning about my new friends and hearing of their adventures that I did a poor job of taking notes to write this post.
I mean HOW can I be expected to concentrate as I hear of incredible cross-Catalina Island hiking trip reports or while examining an awesome wide-angle lens that someone is now using for all his blog posts? And do I even need to mention the marinated grilled tri-tip and yummy guacamole and salads. Seriously. I. Could. Not. Focus. On. The. Details.
I did manage a photo of Holly the hiking dog. This cute gal is pal to Greene Adventures and she is a hiking machine.
Now for the Good News
Luckily, my fellow bloggers can multi-task and they wrote excellent articles about our tweetup/meetup at Schabarum Regional Park and Powder Canyon complete with photos, GPS, data, and more.

Thank you Pete from East West Hike and Colleen and Jeff Greene from Greene Adventures for all the time and effort you put in to organize this SoCal hikers tweetup. Thanks to all who came. I enjoyed visiting with you and hope to see you on the trail again soon.

Great write up Traci! I should have my report up on Thursday. Awesome B&W photos!
Hi Peter, thanks and it was wonderful to meet you!
Nice write up! I like the use of black and white photography, especially of Holly! I do agree that it was hard to concentrate with all of the information and trip reports everyone was telling, at the end of the day I was like I hiked 6 miles? haha

Hi Josh, So wonderful to meet you and your wife in person. Thanks for the compliment. Holly is a good subject!
